Stephen Cluxton has made a sensational return to the Dublin squad for today's Allianz Football League clash with Louth.
Cluxton hasn't played for Dublin since the 2020 All-Ireland final, when he captained his county to the historic six in a row and his eighth All-Ireland title.
However he was spotted taking part in the goalkeepers' warm-up beside Hill 16 this afternoon and, when it was announced that he will be wearing no 16 and on the bench for today's Division 2 clash, there was a loud cheer from the Dubs supporters at Croke Park.

The 41-year-old hadn't been a part of Dessie Farrell's plans since that December 2020 final but he never announced his retirement, although it was widely felt that he had played his last game for the Blues.
The Parnells clubman made his Dublin debut in May 2001 at the age of 19 and had continued to play for his club during his absence from the Dubs' set-up.
The Dubs and Louth effectively play off for promotion to the top tier and Cluxton's presence is a big boost to the Dubs, as is the return of Paul Mannion from injury.
Like Cluxton, the Kilmacud Crokes' marksman is a late inclusion in the matchday panel and, with Jack McCaffrey already back in action, the Dubs have added serious experience to the mix ahead of the championship.
