A man in his 30s had to undergo surgery for serious injuries he sustained during an incident in Belfast city centre.
Police say they received a report of a serious assault in the Dublin Road area in the early hours of Tuesday, January 10.
Following an altercation officers say the victim was knocked unconscious, and when he regained consciousness, no-one else was at the scene.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "It was reported that at approximately 2am, a man aged in his thirties was knocked unconscious during an altercation outside licensed premises on the Dublin Road. When he regained consciousness, no-one else was at the scene.
"The victim sustained serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment where he had surgery on a broken jaw. Items of jewellery were also reported to have been stolen from him during the attack.
"Our enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything, or who may have dashcam, CCTV or other video footage, to contact us on 101, quoting reference 11 of 11/1/23."
