A woman visiting Ireland was left flabbergasted after being handed a bill for just four drinks in Dublin.
The young woman, who was visiting from the UK, went for a few drinks at the popular Temple Bar pub in Dublin city centre. The tourist hotspot is known for its exorbitant prices which have seen a further increase due to the rising cost of living.
The woman was shocked after she barely came away with change after paying with a €50 note for four shots of Jaeger and one can of Red Bull. She shared a picture of her receipt on Twitter that showed that four shots of Jager came to €36.20, while the cost of one can of Red Bull was €6.35 - totalling €42.55, the Irish Mirror reports.

People took to her comments to share their own experiences of Dublin's expensive nightlife. One person said: “£9.05 each for a Jagermeister ouch, cheaper getting a pint. I bet you won’t go back there in a hurry”.
A second wrote: “No! I got absolutely fleeced in there and the surrounding pubs.” Another advised: “The pub literally next door took about a weeks wage off me, across the river is far cheaper.
“There’s a massive bar in the Arlington hotel which served us far better.”
However, others didn’t have much sympathy and say she should have expected as much from this area of town.
One person wrote: “Capital city and the most popular drinking attraction there it’s always gonna be expensive. Pints of Guinness are about 8 quid each.”
Another said: “I actually felt robbed leaving this place a few weeks ago, thankfully we got some great recommendations from the locals of where to go.”
