Dublin pub early houses: Where they are and what time do they open

Traditionally, early houses in Dublin open their doors at 7am.

They came about as a result of a special license dating back to 1927 which allowed a select few pubs to open early in the morning to cater for workers such as traders, fishermen and farmers who wanted a drink at what was considered unsociable hours.

The number of these establishments has dropped as the licences are no longer issued, but a few early houses in Dublin remain open to this day.
