A Dublin woman has been left terrified for her children's health after a sewage overflow has destroyed her back garden, Dublin Live reports.
Darndale woman Denise Dunne said the smell is making her family "physically sick" as the neighbourhood of Tulip Court has been plagued by a deluge of wastewater for the last two weeks. She told Dublin Live: "It’s just a big mess. The whole area smells of sewage.
"It's coming up from the rainwater drain. Sometimes you can see it bubble up and it's like a little river of poo and tissue."

Denise who lives in the house with her three children, brother and father said she fears for their health. "If anybody has any diseases, it’s going to come up in it.
"I’m having nightmares about it. I can’t sleep. When I do, I physically get sick when I wake up. I don’t know what it is in the morning but the smell is worse."
Their two cocker spaniels, who spent most of their time in the back garden, had to be sent to a kennel in Ashbourne. Denise said: "My back windows haven’t been opened in two weeks.
"The smell is still coming in through the cracks in the windows and the drains. I’m constantly bleaching everything."
Denise contacted Dublin City Council who told her the problem started at a house around the corner. She said: "The fella who came yesterday said they couldn't get into the house.
"He told me that I should count my blessings because other people have sanitary towels and nappies coming out but I don't feel lucky at all." Denise said her children have been struggling with the constant smell of sewage.
"The first thing my three-year-old said when she woke up in the morning is, ‘Is the back clean? Is it clean again? Are the dogs coming home?’ They’re thinking about it constantly."
Dublin City Council has been contacted for a comment.
