Dublin man arrested after gardai find €100k worth of suspected cocaine and heroin

A man in his 30s has been arrested after gardai found €100,000 worth of drugs in Dublin 8.

Gardai linked to the Divisional Drug Unit at Kevin Street Garda Station received a search warrant for a Dublin 8 residence.

They were assisted by the Garda Dog Unit and Garda Dog Bran and they found €70,000 worth of suspected heroin (Diamorphine) and €30,000 worth of suspected cocaine.

Various drug paraphernalia and a small quantity of ammunition was also seized during the search.

The operation by gardai took place yesterday evening, Friday 25 February 2022 at approximately 8:45pm.

A man was arrested at the scene and taken to Kevin Street Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

All drugs were seized and are subject to analysis and investigations are currently ongoing.
