Dublin jobs: Tech company ServiceNow to create 400 new roles in the capital

Digital software company ServiceNow has announced it plans to create 400 new jobs in Dublin over three years.

The US multinational digital workflow company has said its new roles will span across digital sales, engineering, research and development, reports RTE. The move comes as ServiceNow is expanding across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

The company’s cloud platform manages digital workflows, and it is used by organisations like Vodafone and BT. ServiceNow currently employs 400 people in Ireland, and it recently announced that it has also agreed to a 12-year lease for a new office to be located on Dawson Street in the city centre.

ServiceNow's VP of Legal Mark Cockerill told RTE's Morning Ireland that the company is "hiring across the spectrum". He added that tech workers who may have lost their jobs at Meta and Google would make good candidates for ServiceNow.

"It's at all levels, it's not only experienced tech professionals, and we've seen great talent from companies like that join us already.

"We know there is a fantastic talented pool of people in Ireland. We want those people, our customers want those people."

Mr Cockerill added that ServiceNow is also running a new 'Rise Up' programme where they are hoping to train a million people worldwide. IDA Ireland's CEO Michael Lohan welcomed today's jobs announcement as "a win for the country" and that it "cements Dublin's position as a leading technology hub."

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said ServiceNow's announcement of 400 new high-quality jobs is a major endorsement of Irish talent, and that it will be a boost to the tech sector which has in recent months suffered hundreds of job losses.

Mr Varadkar said: "ServiceNow is committed to the making the world of work, work better for people. I am proud to see so many Irish hands and minds helping bring that to fruition.

"The future is digital and we look forward to many jobs, opportunities and investments."
