Dublin jobs: Dublin Bus hiring mechanics with amazing starting salary

Dublin Bus is looking to hire heavy vehicle mechanics to join their engineering team.

The 12 month fixed-term contract has a starting salary beginning at €692.78 per week, rising to a lovely amount of €823.73 per week.

The job offers an opportunity to earn a permanent contract of employment with Dublin Bus.

The applicant hired may be required to work day/night or rotating shifts depending on their location and they will need to drive all company vehicles.

They will be responsible for vehicle and plant fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles, all tasks associated with the mechanical and electrical systems and operating garage equipment.

Requirements include:

  • An NDLS Driver statement.

  • Be over 21 years old (to comply with D licence regulation).

  • Fluent spoken and written English.

  • Applicants must be available to work shifts, including nights, weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts depending on staffing requirements.

Applicants will also be required to have a National Craft Certificate for the trade of heavy/light vehicle mechanic following the successful completion of a recognised SOLAS apprenticeship.

They can also apply if they have an Advanced Certificate in Craft awarded by FETAC following the successful completion of a recognised SOLAS apprenticeship.

They will need to have a Driving Valid Category B Irish driving licence held for a minimum of two years and a valid, category D Licence Learner Permit or they must have a valid category B Irish driving licence held for a minimum of two years plus a valid full category D Irish driving licence.
