Young job seekers take note as Dublin Airport is looking to hire apprentices for a number of roles.
The daa has announced six training placements for people interested in a career in trades. The airport operator is looking for "enthusiastic and hardworking individuals" to join their team.
The six roles up for grabs are two fitters, two electricians, one carpenter, and one agricultural mechanic. The apprenticeship will be a mixture of workplace and classroom training.

Successful applicants will be trained in all aspects of the trade, the job description page notes. The ideal candidates must be at least 18 years old on September 1, 2023 to apply.
The daa is looking for people who have completed the Leaving Cert and have the following skills:
- A genuine interest in mechanical or electrical tasks with a technical aptitude
Excellent coordination and hand skills
Strong problem-solving ability combined with a focus on detail
Excellent spoken and written English
