Dublin house prices continuing to spike in latest report

House prices in Dublin city are 6.6 per cent more expensive today than this time last year.

That's according to the latest Daft.ie house price report, which puts the average cost of a home in the capital at €429,000. South county Dublin also has the highest average house price in the country, with the average cost of a home set at an eye-watering €666,000.

Houses in west Dublin currently sit at an average price of €351,000, with south Dublin city houses costing an average of €471,000, while a northside home will set you back €393,000 on average. The average house price nationwide in the second quarter of 2022 was €312,000, an increase of 9.5 per cent on the same three months in 2021.

Prices rose nationally by 3.8 per cent between March and June alone - the largest three-month increase in nearly two years. However, the house stock is up, with just over 12,400 homes available for sale on Daft.ie - an increase from the all-time low of around 10,000 three months ago.
