This week we will be looking at properties with lower monthly mortgage repayment rates compared to the average rent in Dublin.
Currently, the average rent in Dublin is at a whopping €2,300 per month. Skyhigh rents combined with a steep rise in the cost of living have renters in the capital under a lot of pressure.
We found five houses with lower monthly mortgage payments compared to the average rent thanks to the experts at Auctioneera.ie. A spokeswoman said: "Presently we have 21 properties around Dublin under €300,000. Obviously, the challenge would be raising the funds for the deposit but if people could do that then their monthly mortgage payments would be substantially lower than the present monthly rents we’re seeing in Dublin, averaging around €2,300.

"Aside from a mortgage, people could look into the potential of a Local Authority Home Loan (max’ value of the property is capped at €360,000)."
