A fascinating map released by the Criminal Assets Bureau breaks down the exact zones that make up Dublin's gangland world.
The interesting garda map shows that West Dublin is a hot bed of gangland activity at present.
CAB have 177 targets in the area, while Dublin South has 110 suspects being investigated by the elite detectives hunting the gangster's money.
In Dublin Metropolitan Region North there are 80 people under examination with DMR North Central having 46 while DMR South has 37.
The DMR East has 12 people under investigation, while there are 23 people from Dublin living outside of Ireland under investigation by CAB.
DMR West is scene to several murderous feuds at present and also a number of major players in Dublin gangland live there.
The Hutch/Kinahan Feud has a number of members spread across DMR South along and he south and north inner city.
The 23 people living outside of the jurisdiction are almost exclusively connected with the Kinahan Organised Crime Group.
CAB is a joint bureau led by a Garda Chief Superintendent Pat Clavin with officers including gardai and Revenue officers.
CAB revealed that as part of cases in 2018 - which was a bumper year for the bureau - they froze 114 criminal assets meaning a €8.39m assets frozen.
The bureau also revealed that it had a total of 973 "targets under investigation".
Garda Commissioner Drew Harris said: "2018 was a very busy year for the Criminal Assets Bureau.
I visited the Bureau in September 2018, where I toured the offices and obtained a firsthand knowledge of its activities.
"I acknowledge the high level of professionalism of the Bureau officers and staff.
"I note in particular the increase in actions in all areas of activity by the Bureau.
"I was particularly impressed by the multi‐disciplinary team concept that CAB has pioneered since its establishment in 1996."
The Commissioner said that the bureau had established links to its local communities across the country.
