This adorable video shows how Dublin firefighters came to the rescue of a mother duck and her ducklings today.
The Donnybrook crew received a call about a mammy duck and her ducklings, who were trying to cross a busy road to reach the safety of a nearby canal. "Unusual one for us but the crew winged it and shepherded (right word?) the lucky ducks towards a nearby canal. No fowl play suspected," they added.
In the end of the video shared by Dublin Fire Brigade, the duck and her babies are safely enjoying a swim in the canal.
Social media users took to Twitter to praise the brave firefighters for their kindness toward the tiny animals. One person commented: "Quacking job as always & what a welcome change for your crew."
A second added: "Lucky ducks indeed, you were so kind to our feathered friends." A third said: "Well done to all."
