Dublin firefighters have gotten into the Christmas spirit and danced to Daft Punk to raise funds for visually impaired children attending a local primary school.
Members of Dublin Fire Brigade and school staff members from St Joseph's Primary School for Children with Visual Impairment in Drumcondra recently hit the fire station's floor for their dance rendition of Daft Punk's 'One More Time'. The video has so racked up thousands of views, and they already raised over €7,000 for the school.
Peter Fitzgerald, Station Office from Dublin Fire Brigade's 'C' Watch at North Strand told Dublin Live that they had a "great time" making the hit video. He said: "We did the dance with the SNAs from St Joseph's Mandy, Bridget and Sue, and we had Ali Flood choreographing it.

He added: "We had great fun doing it." Peter described how part of the fire station's ethos is connecting with the local community as part of their service.
"Part of our ethos is connecting with the community and schools, especially special needs children. We've raised over €7,500 so far and we hope people enjoy the two and a half minute video," he said.
The firefighters and teaching staff are featured dancing in sync to 'One More Time', with their fire engines flashing blue lights along with Christmas lights glowing in the background, and Santa himself even made an appearance.
The special dance routine was made with assistance of choreographer Ali Flood and the video was created by Harry Merton. The video is also accompanied with a GoFundMe page which has been set up to fundraise for "for resources and fun activities” at the primary school in Drumcondra.
In a statement on the GoFundMe, the organisers said: "Dublin Fire Brigade Firefighters on 'C' watch at North Strand have joined forces with some of the SNAs of the school to entertain you with our DFB... Daft Funk Brigade.
"St Joseph's is in the operational area of North Strand fire station. On a recent community visit to the school, Firefighters were taken aback by the enthusiasm of the children and the school staff. The rest, as they say, is history, or in this case, the video.
"We understand that times are tough and there are many charities looking for your spare Euro. We want you to enjoy this video and not hide it behind a paywall, but if you are in a position to help, please donate. Every bit helps. Please watch and enjoy!"
