Dublin Fire Brigade rush to blaze at northside petrol station

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a blaze at a petrol station in north Dublin this morning.

The blaze broke out at a petrol station on the Clonshaugh Road in Clonshaugh Swords, opposite the Clayton Hotel. Dublin Live understands that a vehicle went on fire at the popular petrol station, and that Dublin Fire Brigade and gardai rushed to the scene this morning.

Petrol station staff and customers were safely evacuated from the scene. No injuries have been reported, although some damage has been sustained to the outside of the petrol station which also has a Supermacs.

A witness told Dublin Live: "Supermacs is definitely closed, and Circle K will be closed for an hour or two anyway before we clean up. Everyone is fine, no-one was hurt thank God."

Dublin Fire Brigade and gardai remain at the scene at this time. Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed on Twitter that two of its fire engines attended the scene.

They wrote: "Two fire engines have dealt with a vehicle fire off the R139 (old N32) near the M1 interchange. The fire was prevented from spreading to nearby property.
