Tributes have poured in for a retired Dublin Fire Brigade member following his death.
Clontarf man Kieron Doyle passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in Navan on Wednesday. A spokesperson for the Dublin Fire Brigade said on Twitter: "It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of retired sub-officer Kieron Doyle."
Kieron, who lived in Balbriggan, was a "popular" on B Watch sub-officer, the spokesperson continued. He was stationed at the DFB HQ, North Strand, and Phibsborough Fire Stations over the course of his career.

Kieron will be laid to rest on Monday. A notice on RIP.ie reads: "Doyle Kieron passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital, Navan surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Angela, loving father of Nicola and Margaret, and Grandad of Mark, Kyle & Eve.
"He will be sadly missed by his family, sister Catherine, brother Philip, in-laws, friends and former colleagues. Predeceased by his much-loved brother Fintan, mother Peig and father Bart. May he rest in peace."
