Dublin Fire Brigade were handed an emergency with a difference when they came to the rescue of two heavily pregnant mums whose waters had broken.
Firefighters, including Advanced Paramedics, from Kilbarrack fire station assisted with the birth of two baby boys in their area on Sunday night. The skilled firefighters and paramedics worked together to deliver two bouncing baby boys.
They then transferred the babies and their mothers safely to hospital. Taking to social media, Dublin Fire Brigade tweeted: "Firefighters, including Advanced Paramedics, from Kilbarrack fire station assisted with the birth of two baby boys in their area overnight.

The replies on Twitter were full of praise for the firefighters. One person said: "Very well done everybody."
A second added: "Congrats to the new parents and well done to all the firefighters and paramedics." A third added: "Lovely news, well done all."
