A new theatre is being considered for Dublin city centre.
The new theatre could be built in an attempt to address the lack of big venues in the capital. So far the area between the two canals in the city centre is being considered by Dublin City Council for the location.
Potential locations include College Green, the Guinness Quarter, and the Docklands, according to a consultancy firm. A public consultation on the issue will remain open for another week.

Sunil Sharpe from the Save the Night Campaign told 98FM.com that the venue should be more than just a theatre. "''We need dance spaces as well.
"We need all-purpose, multi-use space, including for the use of music, and not just stage shows. But we can do it all within the same space.''
