Dublin Bus driver's 'sweet' Valentine's Day gesture praised

A Dublin Bus driver is being hailed for their sweet gesture to passengers commuting to and from Parnell Street on Valentine’s Day this year.

Sharing the video on the ‘Discover Dublin’ TikTok page, the short clip shows the bag rack downstairs covered in wrapping paper and decorated with hearts.

On top of this was a heart-shaped dish containing Lindt sweets that passengers could take as they boarded the bus.

It was also surrounded by heart-shaped battery-powered tea lights and plastic roses.

Valentine’s Day can be a tough time for many people, and this heartwarming gesture did not go unnoticed.

Since the clip was uploaded, it has been seen by thousands of people - many of whom commented on it applauding the driver for brightening many peoples’ Valentine’s Day.

One person wrote: “Awe this is very sweet,” while another said: “Awe this is very sweet”.

Among the many commenters was a third profile added: “Aw only on Dublin bus, truly thoughtful and heartwarming”.
