Multiple Dublin Fire Brigade units were dispatched to the scene and could be seen rushing to the site of the blaze. The residents of the building were evacuated while the members of the fire service bravely battled to flames.
A spokesperson from Dublin Fire Brigade said on Twitter: "Firefighters responded to a fire in a high-rise building off Spencer Dock early this morning. A prompt evacuation helped prevent injuries and a family pet was taken to safety by firefighters.
"Evacuate if you hear a fire alarm and don't re-enter until the all clear is given."
