Dublin Airport have praised one of their well known security guards after his 'showman' personality went viral.
A tweet describing the security guard as "relentlessly peppy" sparked an online discussion, with people commending his efforts to keep passengers entertained while navigating the busy airport. The post led to many people sharing their similar experiences with an upbeat security guard, who would even dance through lines on occasion.
The tweet reads: "There is a man working at @DublinAirport security who is a showman. Cheerfully calls out hello to folks while running the crew. Refers to children as 'bambinos'. Asks about their colourful plastic bottles. Relentlessly peppy at 5am. Basks in the limelight. 10/10."

Dublin Airport later confirmed the identity of the mysterious man after the post went viral. The worker is called Dermot, with his upbeat antics recorded on video via Twitter.
Airport staff wrote on social media: "That would be Dermot, who certainly does his best to put a smile on passengers faces every day. Here he is in action recently."
An accompanying video showed off Dermot's performing skills as he sang a hilarious rendition of "Show me the way to Amarillo", complete with his own signature dance moves. People applauded Dermot's efforts to brighten up air travel and had some suggestions for Dublin Airport going forward.
One person wrote: "He’s absolutely fantastic, puts a smile on all the passengers faces with his cheeriness & wit. Keep up the great work Dermot!"
Another fan added: "Dublin Airport, give that man a pay rise."
