Dublin Airport suspends flights again due to drone activity

Flights operations have been suspended tonight at Dublin Airport due to even more drone activity.

The activity led to the suspension of flights in and out of the airport as a safety precaution. It comes as a man appeared in court today in connection with previous drone activity over the airfield. Another man appeared in court earlier this month.

It led to 30 minute delays on some flights as the airspace closed to traffic. Dublin Airport warned the public about drone activity within 5km of the airfield and the consequences if caught.

Dublin Airport said: "Flight operations at Dublin Airport have now resumed after a suspension of 30 minutes. On the day in which a second person in two weeks has been charged with flying a drone near Dublin Airport, we would remind drone users that it is illegal to fly a drone within 5km of the airport. Severe punishments must follow for anyone found guilty."
