A Dublin Airport Ryanair flight was forced into an emergency landing after a passenger fell ill.
The flight was supposed to land in Faro after leaving the Irish capital, but had to descend rapidly mid-flight to land in France's Bordeaux Airport.
The flight was spotted on an aeroplane radar making an unexpected diversion and descent towards Bordeaux at around 9:00am this morning.
The crew of the flight also called ahead to have medical assistance waiting for them when they arrived.
The plane landed normally on the Bordeaux runway.
A Ryanair spokeswoman told Dublin Live: "This flight from Dublin to Faro (28 Feb) diverted to Bordeaux after a customer became ill on board.
"The crew called ahead to request medical assistance upon arrival, the aircraft landed normally, the customer disembarked and was met by medics for further treatment."
