Emerald Airlines is hiring ground handling agents at Dublin Airport on a new increased starting salary of €26,000.
The roles, advertised on their website, are full-time positions and the company does not require previous airport or ramp experience. In the online jobs advert, they wrote: "Emerald Airlines is Ireland’s newest airline and we are now recruiting for Baggage Hall and Ramp Agents to join our team at Dublin Airport.
"Experienced and non-experienced individuals are welcome to apply! At Emerald Airlines, you will get to work with a great team; we are a tight-knit organisation who value integrity, openness and collaboration."

The shift-based role includes setting up and preparation of the Aircraft Service Area, baggage handling and transport, assisting passengers during boarding, and operating the vehicles that transport the baggage to and from the main terminal. According to Emerald Airlines, the jobs would be 42.5 hours per week and it has a regular roster pattern which would include two earlies, two lates, and two off.
To apply for the role, these criteria are required:
- Be aged 18
- Have a clean Irish driver's licence
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Be able to pass garda vetting and full background check
- Be medically fit
