Ryanair has urged the government to act against alleged drone activity after Dublin Airport faced a third day of disruption.
Flights were suspended on Monday evening for approximately 40 minutes following presumed drone activity in the airfield. The safety threat prevented four Ryanair flights from landing, with three planes diverting to Belfast and the other to Shannon Airport.
The airline has asked the Department of Transport to break their silence on the recent disruptions. Ryanair called on Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan to release details on the department's strategy against drone activity.

Ryanair said in a statement: "It is unacceptable that thousands of passengers have now faced a third day of disruptions due to apparent drone activity at Dublin airport. With disruptions to flights to/from Dublin Airport on Friday and Saturday and now again today on Monday, 6 February, Minister Ryan has stayed silent."
The airline continued: "We are yet again calling on Minister Ryan to confirm what action is being taken to protect the country’s main airport from repeated disruptions from illegal drone activity.”
The daa confirmed that flights at the country's main airport were suspended for roughly 40 minutes, before resuming at 19:45 yesterday evening. They described the ongoing disruption as "reckless" and warned those responsible could face prosecution.
