Newcastle United have been on the wrong end of a number of controversial VAR calls already this season. Former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell is the latest former professional to blast the most recent disappointment.
Joe Willock's goal against Crystal Palace was ruled out for a foul on Eagles goalkeeper Vicente Guaita, but Tryick Mitchell appeared to push the Newcastle midfielder in the back prior to the collision. Just days earlier the Magpies conceded a 97th-minute winner at Anfield, despite only five minutes of stoppage time being awarded, to lose the game 2-1.
Plenty of members of the Toon faithful also believe Newcastle should have been awarded penalties against Manchester City and Wolves, and that Callum Wilson's disallowed strike should have stood against Brighton last month.

Speaking to Football Insider, Campbell said: “Listen, I’m not a Newcastle fan and I am not happy about it. God knows how the players feel.
“We are talking about VAR all of the time. They keep messing up. It is poor. It is really poor.
“The [Joe] Willock decision is so poor but what can you do? Those two lost points could cost them at the end of the season. It should have been a routine decision.
“The draws can catch up with you. You need to win your home games. An extra couple of points would make a huge difference to Newcastle right now because they would jump a few places.”
