Dua Lipa showed the first glimpse at her incredible voice after an advert for the 2013 X Factor series resurfaced.
The 25-year-old BRIT Award winner looks unrecognisable in the promotional clip, which was filmed when she was just 17 years old.
After picking up a couple more BRITs at the 2021 ceremony last week, many fans have questioned how she didn't go all the way to the final in 2013 and beat eventual winner Sam Bailey.
In the minute-long advert, Dua can be seen singing in her garden as she hangs washing on the line.
While her life might be all glitz and glam nowadays, she was a fresh-faced teenager in the advert with her hair tied into a bun, and wearing an oversized T-Shirt
In the advert, Dua's singing soon draws a crowd and the promo clip ends with Dua being transported from her garden to standing in front of the four X Factor judges, who applaud enthusiastically after hearing her sing.
That year was one that Simon Cowell missed and the panel was made up of Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.
Dermot O'Leary was still on hosting duties and he says in a voiceover: "To win over the nation, first they have to win the room."
The advert was meant to show that no matter how humble your beginnings are, there is always a chance of becoming a huge star through The X Factor.
In fact it took Dua a further five years to become a huge pop sensation. with single New Rules rocketing up the charts.
The single came after she lost out at the BRITs to Rag'n'Bone Man in the Rising Star category.
Fans of the singer reacted on social media, saying that they couldn't believe she was overlooked that year on the talent show.
One wrote: "What a discovery this is! Can't believe it's her."
Another pointed out that despite losing out that year, Dua Lipa went on to have bigger success.
They tweeted: "The irony that a fake contestant from an advert ended up being massively more successful than anyone competing that year."
