Dua Lipa launches her book club

Here's some news for Dua Lipa's fans! It is known that the singer-songwriter is an avid reader, and now she has announced her own book club.

The new celebrity book club is a part of Dua Lipa's Service95 lifestyle newsletter. "Ever since I can remember, anywhere I go I take a book with me. Reading is an incredibly important part of my life and one of my biggest joys. I’m so excited to start the Service95 Book Club where we can share that joy of discovery with each other. Each month, we’re going to go deep on our Book of the Month with author interviews, features that add context about the book, recommended further reading and so much more! I’m so excited to read along with you," Dua Lipa said in a social media post recently.

For the month of May 2023, the singer-songwriter has picked Douglas Stuart’s Booker Prize-winning debut novel 'Shuggie Bain'. Praising the book, she said in her newsletter, “This story of a young boy growing up with an alcoholic mother in 1980s Glasgow totally won my heart, and I can’t wait for us to explore it together.”

Apart from announcing her new book club, Dua Lipa also shared pictures of herself reading and of the books which she has read, liked and recommended on social media recently. Some of them are: 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, 'A Fine Balance' by Rohinton Mistry, 'On Earth We Are Briefly Gorgeous' by Ocean Vuong, 'Girl, Woman, Other' by Bernadine Evaristo, 'Swimming In The Dark' by Tomasz Jedrowski, 'The Institute' by Stephen King, among others.
