An intoxicated woman spat at police officers on three separate occasions as they tried to help her.
Elspeth Wood, 55, of Albert Street, Hamilton, appeared at the town's sheriff court this week.
She admitted three charges of assault by spitting.
Aga Mathieson, prosecuting, said Wood was being helped by a member of the public in Backmuir Road on December 1, 2020, when police officers arrived.
After an alleged disturbance, she was being placed in the police vehicle when she spat on a constable's arm.
Less than three weeks later officers were called to the same location due to another report involving the same intoxicated woman.
Wood was taken to Motherwell police station where she spat at, but missed, a police officer.
Then on November 17 last year, officers approached Wood in Whitehill Road.
They "tried to engage with her" but she spat, with the spittle landing on body armour.
Ms Mathieson stressed: "There were no Covid consequences in relation to any of these incidents and no officer required to isolate."
Defence agent Stephen McQuillan said Wood has mental health issues and is currently on a community payback order for other offences.
Sheriff Thomas Millar deferred sentence until next month for background reports and continued bail.
