A drink driver was pulled over by police after driving their Porsche down a major motorway with two flat tyres.

Concerned motorists spotted the Porsche being driven dangerously on the M6 on Monday and alerted the police. Photos shared by Lancashire Road Police showed the damage caused to the car which had collided with a kerb.

The driver was found to be three times over the drink driving limit after being stopped by officers on the hard shoulder. Lancashire Road Police tweeted: "Yesterday we had numerous reports from concerned M6 users about this vehicle being driven dangerously.

"Vehicle drove many miles on 2 flat tyres having collided with a kerb. Detained by a MOP on hard shoulder. Driver blew 109 on roadside (x3 limit)."

It's one of a number of incidents involving dangerous drivers on the M6 in recent weeks. On Thursday, March 3, a drink driver was arrested after travelling down the motorway with their bonnet lid hanging clean off.

The motorist was pulled over by "shocked" police officers while taking their Fiat for a spin down the M6, in Cumbria. Police said the “very obstructive drunk driver” was then swiftly arrested.
