A DJ known for gathering hundreds of ravers on streets all over the UK and Europe has confirmed a Bristol rave this weekend. Drum and Bass on the Bike star Dom Whiting will lead cyclists, skaters and pedestrians through the city centre to 'spread positivity and bring people together'.
It will mark a year since the DJ last came to Bristol as hundreds of people gathered to join him at College Green in March 2022. It will be the third time Whiting has visited the city, for what he now runs as an annual event. A video documenting his first visit in 2021 has more than one million views on YouTube.
Sharing the announcement on his Instagram story, the DJ confirmed that the rave will start from the Lloyds Amphitheatre by the harbour on Sunday (April 2) at 2pm. Dom typically invites people to join him and jog along or keep up on rollerskates, skateboards, scooters or bikes.

This year's route is yet to be confirmed, although last year Dom led the rave through Stokes Croft, the Bearpit and Anchor Road, among others, subsequently blocking the roads. He has previously streamed the ride through the city live on his Facebook page.
Last year, the DJ 'shut down Bristol' while cycling through key city centre routes. Dom said: "Bristol cycle infrastructure needs reinventing asap," while looping around the St James Barton Roundabout.
April 2 marks the day there will be major changes to bus routes across the region as First Bus announced it will be reinstating 1,600 hours of bus journeys in Bristol every week. Three more of its routes will be withdrawn although there are four new services coming in.
