Drugs and prescribed medications worth £225k found in Antrim

Police have seized drugs and prescribed medications worth £225,000.

It follows searches by Antrim Local Neighbourhood Policing Team (LNPT) and a District Support Team (DST) in Antrim earlier today.

Police said £200,000 of Class C drugs and prescribed medications were seized along with £25,000 of Class A drugs.

One woman was arrested, the PSNI confirmed.

Posting on social media alongside an image of the seizure, a spokesperson for Police Antrim and Newtownabbey said: "Antrim NPT and DST undertook a search in Antrim today with significant results.

"Approximately £25k of Class A drugs and approx £200k of Class C and prescribed medications were seized. One woman was arrested."
