A Encrochat suspect was named by police after officers found cocaine and cannabis in a house.
Merseyside Police raided a home in Deerbarn Drive, Netherton, on Wednesday, June 1 where a large quantity of cash, cocaine and cannabis was seized. Drug paraphernalia was also found in the property.
Daniel Rushworth, 33, of Deerbarn Drive, Netherton, was arrested by officers on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis, possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis, selling or transferring a prohibited weapon or ammunition and money laundering.

Rushworth was later charged and remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates court on Thursday, June 2. The charge forms another part of the Merseyside Police response to Operation Venetic: the national investigation into the use of encrypted mobile devices, commonly referred to as Encrochat.
