A convicted drug trafficker has agreed to hand over nearly £400,000 in crime cash.
John Robertson was jailed for three years and eight months last year after he was caught with a haul of cocaine at a house in Buller Crescent, Blantyre.
But police also found a bag containing more than £355,040 in a bedroom along with two further piles of cash and a counting machine.
More than 200grammes of poor quality cocaine worth about £4,000 on the streets was also recovered in the operation.
Unemployed Robertson, 35, became a target in the National Crime Agency's Operation Flier. It was believed he was involved in the holding cash for organised crime.
He admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine on May 28 in 2020 at the property in Blantyre, including an aggravation that the offence was linked to serious organised crime.
The Crown brought a proceeds of crime action against Robertson and the case called briefly before Lord Boyd of Duncansby at the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday. The judge heard that a settlement had been reached.
Advocate depute Dan Byrne said that under its terms Robertson's benefit from general criminal conduct was £389, 850. It was agreed that a confiscation order should be made for the same sum.
