A man was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Norris Green.
Merseyside Police rushed to East Lancashire Road at the junction of Townsend Avenue at around 8.45pm on Tuesday, February 9 following reports of a crash.
Once at the scene officers found a 39-year-old man had been hit by a silver Ford Focus Zetec.

The pedestrian was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
A 48-year-old man from Runcorn, was arrested for a number of offences including causing serious injury by careless driving and drug driving.
The suspect is in police custody.
Road closures were put in place while emergency services attended the incident.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation.
