Two men have been convicted of the murder of a dad from Middlesbrough. Carlos Boyce was killed in the early hours of November 11, 2022 in a flat in Pallister Park after having a bottle of vodka smashed over his head.
The 36-year-old was left dying on the floor of friend Joe Spencer's hallway after two men launched what a court heard was a 'vicious attack' before fleeing the property in the early hours of the morning, reports TeesideLive.
Lee Hogg, 38 and Terry Dalton, 53 have been convicted of Mr Boyce's murder and found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Mr Spencer at Teeside Crown Court.
The two men appeared in court, Hogg dressed in a shirt, a yellow tie and a blue waistcoat, while Dalton wore a black jumper.
The jury returned a verdict on Thursday, May 11 and there was silence from the public gallery in court as both men were found guilty. Hogg was said to have leaned back, muttering slightly while Dalton did not react.
The convicted drug dealers was said to have inflicted "suffering" on Mr Boyce's body after Judge Howard Crowson requested information from a pathologist.
The pair will be sentenced on Friday.
