Two drug dealers refused to open the doors to their car when they were stopped at traffic lights in Radford. But Nottinghamshire police eventually got inside, and drugs and cash were found on the passenger, Tessfa McKenzie-Anderson, at the junction of Bentinck Road and Alfreton Road.
He had £165 cash on him, cannabis on his person, and three bags of cannabis (together worth £70) which fell onto the pavement. At the Bridewell Custody Suite, heroin in 30 wraps (worth £290) and 27 wraps of cocaine (worth £270) were recovered.
He pleaded guilty to supplying cannabis between October 1, 2019, and December 9, 2019, and possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply. His headline sentence was two years in prison, suspended for two years.
Co-accused Kliyan Dinnall, 43, of Green Lane, Clifton, had £750 on him and a mobile phone - analysis of this device flagged messages of supplying cannabis not only by him - but also by McKenzie Anderson, 31, of Pulborough Close, Basford.
Dinnall admitted the same cannabis supply charge and being concerned in the supply of cocaine. His sentence, imposed at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday (April 11) was 18 months in prison, suspended for 18 months, and a fine of £200 for breaching a suspended prison sentence.
