A drug dealer tried to escape out the back of a cannabis farm after police raided the property.
Merseyside Police raided a property on Molyneux Drive in Prescot where officers found a cannabis farm. During the police raid on Monday, May 16 a man tried to escape out the rear of the property but was quickly detained by officers.
The man, 23, was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, and abstracting electricity. He was remanded in custody, convicted, and later sentenced to 12-months in prison, along with a fine, on Wednesday, May 18.

A police spokesperson said: "If you have any information about illegal drug production in your area, please contact us on our non-emergency number 101, or online via our website. Alternatively, call crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
