A drug dealer was taken to hospital after stashing a Kinder Surprise egg filled with heroin and crack cocaine up his bum.
Liverpool Crown Court heard today, Tuesday, that Liam Southart was spotted by police riding around Rimrose Valley Country Park conducting drug deals at around 9pm on April 11 last year. Peter Hussey, prosecuting, described how officers stopped the 22-year-old and found he was in possession of more than £1,200 in cash, while his iPhone was "constantly ringing".
He refused to provide the pin number for this mobile, and then had to be escorted to hospital as he had secreted a Kinder egg internally. Once produced, this was found to contain 14 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine worth up to £140.

The court was told that the defendant, who was represented by Matthew O'Neill, "became embroiled in drug dealing to pay off debts". Southart admitted possession of heroin of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply during an earlier hearing.
Appearing in court via video link this morning, he was jailed for 32 months by Recorder Kate Cornell. This sentence will run alongside his current prison term, with the seized phone and drugs to be forfeited.
