A man has been jailed in connection with the supply of drugs in the South Sefton area.
Liam Southart, 22, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday on Drug Supply offences. Southart was arrested by officers in the south Sefton area which resulted in the seizure of over £14,000 worth of crack cocaine, heroin and £4,722 in cash.
Southart of no fixed abode has been sentenced to seven years in prison. The arrest was made in connection with Operation Pelican which aims to tackle organised Crime in Sefton.

An Operation Pelican spokesperson said: “This latest sentencing joins a long line of other convictions that Operation Pelican have achieved through their relentless pursuit of criminals operating in the area, this highlights our success in arresting and convicting people on drugs offences.
“We will continue to keep this momentum going and pursue offenders who think they can plague our communities with drugs and target those who are vulnerable in the area. I would urge anyone who has any information about people they suspect are blighting their neighbourhood by supplying or selling drugs to contact us so we can take action.”
