A man has been arrested after being seen "gurning" and “chewing his cheeks” whilst driving erratically on the motorway with a child in the car. The 32-year-old, who had two passengers including the youngster, was stopped after police saw him speeding and weaving in and out of lanes on the M6 in Lancashire yesterday morning.
He was spoken to by officers after being pulled over on the stretch of the motorway in Charnock Richard near Chorley and attracted further attention with his unusual behaviour.

“Something that gets our ‘Spidey senses’ going is when a motorist is driving well over the speed limit and dangerously weaving in and out of lanes on the motorway," a spokesperson for Lancashire Police told Lancs Live.
“Something else that makes us feel something is ‘off’ is when a motorist is pulled over and they can’t seem to stop gurning at us and chewing their cheeks. We’re not sure why, but something about it just doesn’t seem right.”
The man, from Worcester in the West Midlands, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and he remains in custody.
“If you have concerns about drink or drug-driving in your area, or have information about someone you think is putting themselves and others at risk in this way, please tell us" the spokesperson added: "You can call 101 or report it online."
