Driver sparks manhunt after failing to stop for cops in Paisley

A driver has sparked a manhunt through Paisley after failing to stop for police and abandoning their car

A police helicopter and a number of traffic officers were on the hunt for the runaway car this morning after it failed to stop in the town's Hurlet Road.

Officers had requested the blue Honda pull over around 10.40am in the town, prompting the driver to take off.

The car was found abandoned more than four miles away in Paisley's Glenfield Road, with the driver and other occupants having fled the scene on foot.
