The driver of a crashed car spotted by gardaí driving along with two flat tyres and an air bag deployed threw up a surprise after they tested positive for two different types of drugs.
On Thursday, gardaí in Naas in County Kildare spotted what appeared to them like a car that had been involved in an accident.
The officers, who were out on patrol at the time, noticed that the car had sustained "considerable damage."

Closer inspection showed that the person was driving with two flat tyres and the emergency airbags had been deployed in the interior of their car.
The incident was posted to the An Garda Síochána Twitter page, which was set up and dedicated to posting driving related incidents and traffic stops from various Roads Policing Units across the country.
The post said: "In the early hours of Thursday, Naas Gardaí stopped this car which had considerable damage having clearly been involved in a collision. It was being driven with two flat tyres and airbags deployed.
The post, which was shared to the page this Saturday, also revealed that after speaking with the driver and conducting a drugs test, they were found to be positive for both cocaine and cannabis
"The driver tested positive for cocaine and cannabis and was subsequently arrested," the post concluded.
