A 46-year-old man has died after crashing into a tree on Maitland Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police were called to the scene at Cessnock just after 5am on the morning of October 26, where they say the 46-year-old driver - the only occupant of the car - had died.
Emergency services attended as Hunter Valley police set up traffic diversions and looked into the circumstances of the crash.
Officers have urged anyone who may have information about the incident or dashcam footage of the scene to contact Cessnock Police Station.
