A statement has been issued by Nottinghamshire Police after a crash closed a busy road. Officers were called to Aspley Lane, Aspley, at around 9.10am today (January 16) after a collision between three cars was reported.
One of the drivers was injured during the crash, but these injuries have been described as "minor" by officers. The road was closed for around an hour, causing slow traffic and NCT buses to divert from their normal routes.
Chief Inspector Ash Thornton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called to Aspley Lane, Aspley, at around 9.10am today following reports of a collision involving three cars. One of the drivers sustained minor injuries during the incident, with the road remaining closed for around an hour while the scene was cleared.

“An investigation is currently ongoing into the incident, so we’d ask anyone who witnessed the collision to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 110 of 16 January 2023.”
