A driver has been slapped with a fixed penalty notice following a three-car smash this morning.
All of the people involved in the crash escaped unhurt.
The incident occurred around 8.30am on the Glasgow Road in Barrhead.
An ambulance crew was dispatched but was not needed in the end. The team checked those involved in the incident but nobody needed to be admitted to hospital.
A spokesperson from the Scottish Ambulance Service told Renfrewshire Live: "We received a call at 8.34am this morning to attend a road traffic collision on Glasgow Road, Barrhead. We dispatched one crew to the scene.”
Police officers arrived at the scene about an hour later to clear the road and issue the driver with the fixed penalty notice.
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Around 9.30am on Monday, October 3, police were called to the Glasgow Road area of Barrhead, following a three-vehicle crash.
“The road was cleared by 11.30am and one motorist was issued with a fixed penalty notice for road traffic offences.”
