A Huddersfield driver who tested positive for cocaine smashed their car into a hole while roadworks were ongoing.
Photos shared by West Yorkshire Police show how the silver car crashed into a hole in the road on Dale Street, Milnsbridge. The car seemed to have gone through a set of barriers and nearly ended up on its side.

Police shared details of the incident on social media to warn other drivers about the dangers of taking drugs while behind the wheel after the driver tested positive for cocaine during a roadside drugs swipe. The driver was also found to only be in possession of a provisional driving licence and no insurance, Yorkshire Live reports.
Drug driving offences are now covered by Lillian's Law - named after Lillian Groves, 14, who was knocked and killed by a speeding driver who had taken cannabis. Writing on Twitter, police said: "Driver tested positive for cocaine on a roadside Drugs wipe, Provisional driving licence, no insurance!"
