A driver has died following a horror crash involving three cars. It happened in Hyndburn in Lancashire earlier this month. A Ford Mondeo collided with an Audi and a Skoda Octavia.
Emergency services raced to the scene on Blackburn Road, close to the Old Mother Redcap pub, at around 9.20pm on Saturday, May 6.
The driver of the Mondeo, a 35-year-old man from Oswaldtwistle was taken to hospital after what suffering what police described as serious leg, facial and internal injuries.

He sadly died on Friday (May 12), Lancashire Constabulary have now confirmed. The Audi and the Skoda Octavia were reportedly travelling in the opposite direction Lancs Live reports. The driver of the Audi, a woman in her 20s, suffered spinal injuries.
The passenger of the Audi – also a woman in her 20s – suffered facial injuries. Both were taken to hospital while the driver of the Skoda Octavia was not injured.
Sgt Michael Higginson of Lancashire Police’s Road Policing Unit said: “This is a sad and tragic incident and my thoughts are very much with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“We continue to piece together exactly what happened and our investigation is ongoing. If you can help us, or have any further information about the collision, please come forward.”
