A 31-year-old man has been remanded in custody to face court after an alleged hit-and-run that left a pedestrian with serious injuries south of Perth.

A 40-year-old woman was found on a bush path off Valentine Drive in Greenfields about 7.30pm Tuesday with serious injuries consistent with being hit by a car.

Multiple media reports have identified the woman as mother Sherylee Bonney.

"They left her there in her own pool of blood and didn't even bother to ring the police or the ambulance," her mother, Ruth Bonney, told Ten News Perth on Wednesday,

"You wouldn't even do that to an animal."

A man was arrested on Wednesday night and charged with a range of offences including dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and failing to stop to ensure assistance was received.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday.
