A driver was arrested after police saw him drinking a bottle of wine - at the wheel. The astonishing sight was witnessed by North West Motorway Police officers near to the M62 motorway earlier on Wednesday.
Details are scarce but the driver held, a man, is understood to be being questioned by police. The man was arrested 'just off the M62' after he was sighted on the M6 motorway.
